Anthony Starros began college as an Art major but finished with a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing. During his last year of graduate school at CSULB, he won the James I. Murashige Scholarship for his short story “Papou.” He then worked as a freelance copywriter and began teaching Composition and Creative Writing at various colleges around the Long Beach area.
Anthony continues to write fiction and non-fiction alike, and he has had poetry, fiction, and photography published in various small presses and periodicals over the years. He still dabbles in copywriting, and, in the years since finishing graduate school, has rediscovered an interest in painting.
